Leonard Yakir lives and works in Park Slope, Brooklyn where he resides with his wife Susan, daughter Sarah and son Benjamin. A native of Canada, Leonard studied film and photography at Ryerson Polytechnical Institute in Toronto. His work has been shown at numerous galleries including the prestigious Art Gallery of Ontario and is in the permanent collection of the National Film Board of Canada. His films have been shown in numerous international film festivals, aired on national television as well as theatrical release.
